ACE-RESULTS, NORM GROUPS AND LANGUAGES

ACE Results (Logical Ability) and Speed (Time Taken to Answer Questions)

The ACE results, both in terms of logical ability and the speed at which the test taker completes the questions, are presented on a STEN scale. This is a ten-point scoring system known as Standard Ten. Each STEN point corresponds to a percentile within the norm group and follows a normal distribution. The most recent Swedish norm group, collected in 2018, consists of 9,408 working-age Swedes and fully represents the Swedish workforce (with no bias towards academics). There are a total of eight ACE norms available for comparison, including an international norm based on over 32,000 individuals. Choose the appropriate norm depending on the location of the position or the company culture where the role is performed.

LANGUAGE VERSIONS

ACE can be completed in 11 languages (Swedish, English, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Italian) – the test taker selects the language.

NON-VERBAL VERSION

There is also a fully spatial version designed for individuals with language barriers, such as dyslexia, or for those who do not speak any of the languages in which ACE is available. This version contains 22 questions, with the test taker given 45 minutes to complete it. Each test taker will be instructed to contact the test administrator if they have language barriers. If someone informs you of such a barrier, start a new assessment, add the ACE Spatial Problem-Solving test, and send a new invitation to the individual.

When language barriers exist, tasks that include text (numerical and verbal tasks) should be avoided, and limited time may lead to poorer results, as the individual may not have the proper conditions to solve the tasks effectively.
