TAKING THE TEST

ACE requires that you answer a certain number of questions in the test for the result to be valid.

If the threshold for validity is not met, this will be flagged in MPP (in the interview guide). If too few questions are completed, the result will have an excessively large margin of error, making it unreliable for drawing conclusions. This situation can only occur if the test time runs out before the person has completed enough questions. If someone chooses to skip questions, these will still be counted as completed, although the result may be inaccurate. Skipping questions means that the person will not receive as challenging questions as they would if they attempted to answer each one.

To avoid these situations, it is advisable to instruct the person to approach the test with the mindset of providing an answer rather than skipping the question. It is also better to focus on answering carefully and managing their time as best as possible, even if it means not finishing all the questions.

ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT RESULTS AND SPEED

ACE is a so-called power test that measures maximum ability, meaning that the focus is primarily on capability (ACE score), although speed can add an additional dimension to the results, reflecting a person's mental quickness and behavior. If an individual has high ability but low speed (within the validity threshold), they may require more time for problem-solving, but they are capable of solving problems at a high level. Individuals with both high scores and high speed demonstrate not only strong problem-solving capacity but also efficiency in execution, indicating very powerful capability.
