CORE Job Analysis is a web-based guide that helps you establish CORE Criteria. It is suitable for digital meetings and can be filled out directly on the screen.
The job analysis is based on an equation that calculates the frequency of certain types of tasks and the consequences of human errors.
The result is presented as a minimum CORE score required to meet the demands of the position. You then enter this score as a new Criteria in MPP and compare your applicants or candidates against it. For relatively complex roles, you can extend the range up to 10, as there is no disadvantage in applicants scoring a high CORE score. However, if you get a lower cut-off score, you can follow the instructions and add two STEN scores to the right. For example, if your score is 4, your Criteria should be registered with a range of 4-6.
For roles with high demands and a large number of applicants, CORE can be used as a screening tool, assuming that candidates with the highest match to the Criteria are qualified to proceed in the process.
We strongly recommend that you always enter CORE Criteria into MPP and compare your test takers against it to ensure that your decision regarding the test taker is always accurate. In this process, MPP generates a matching percentage that indicates qualification, with 75% or higher being the required threshold for qualification. If you apply screening in your assessment in MPP, you can activate a "stop" in your assessment, meaning that if the candidate does not achieve at least 75%, they will not be able to proceed to the next test in the workflow.
The advantage of the analysis is that it also takes CORE test margins of error into account, allowing for well-founded decisions. Without the analysis, there is a risk that decisions might be made based on graphical results that do not indicate the qualification threshold. For example, if the guide provides a minimum CORE score of 6, applicants with at least a score of 5 will be considered qualified.
