CONDUCTING CORE AND VALID RESULTS

CORE consists of 19 tasks that need to be solved within 35 minutes. The average time to complete the test is 18 minutes. If a participant chooses to skip a question, they can return to it at the end if they wish to move on to the next one. The test requires that a certain number of questions be answered for the result to be valid—more than 4. If the number of valid answers is below the threshold, it will be flagged in MPP (in the analysis view or interview guide). If too few questions are answered, the result will have too large a margin of error to draw reliable conclusions. This situation can only occur if the test time runs out before the person has completed enough of the test. In such cases, it’s recommended to offer the person a chance to retake the test.

TYPE OF TEST

CORE is a power test that measures maximum ability, meaning the focus is on capability (CORE score) because it is designed for participants to complete all questions within the given time.
